What was the old movie they were watching in bed?

When Mom and kids are in bed faking being asleep there is an old movie on the tv. Does anyone know what it was? My dh has challenged me to find out and I'm confident know my IMDb peeps will know!

Forbidden Planet --classic Sci-Fi movie that Star Trek, Star Wars, and most really good modern Sci-Fi movies, owe a lot to.
