They did a great review of this film. ;)

Overall a great review. As far as the suckiness of this movie goes Ben "Greasnin" Platt hit the stake on the perverbial head. however, he did get a few things incorrect. I shall attempt to clear things up.

The twenty minues of useless footage he mentions in the closing paragraph, are actually scenes involving The Fontaines and a doctor/nurses in a mental hospital. What these scenes are trying to lead you to believe is that Jenna is actually a mental patient in an asylum. That the world of vampires vs. zombies exists only in her mind as psychosis. They are however, poorly explained, poorly shot, horrible edited, and serve to only confuse an already confusing movie.

After Jenna and Carmilla kill the General and Mr. Fontaine, they get in the obnoxiouslt yellow Jeep Wrangler, not a Land Rover as stated in the review, and drive away. The room Jenna and Carmilla go to is supposed to be a hotel room, evidenced by the 3 on the door. There is one scene involving the father and the doctor where the doc says "Mr. Fontaine, I'm afraid your daughter ran off with one of our nurses". This nurse is of course Carmilla, but not the vampire carmilla. Because if follow what all the asylum scenes are trying to show, is that the Carmilla of Jenna psychosis is actually her nurse in the asylum. This explains why, Carmilla shows up at the end wearing a nurses uniform.

The zombies busting in the room in the final scene, I believe are intended to me you rethink the whole psychosis angle that you never really get to begin with. So the purpose if it all is just lost.

Poorly directed, poorly acted, poorly shot, poorly edited = horible movie.

Wow, so the movie was intended to make sense. I thought they just threw a bunch of random scenes together, put some nudity in it, and got it released.

These cartoons are truly bizarre and frightening!

I never got that impression, it seemed more like the crap at the end was a flashback. Either way the whole story is confused by the arrival of zombies.

Poorly directed, poorly acted, poorly shot, poorly edited = wonderful time

Not to mention, the wonderful joke in which Fontaine is killing schoolgirl-zombies with a HEDGETRIMMER.

reply

I'd also have trouble explaining how he found a hedgetrimmer inside a crypt, but since it's all in her mind or something I guess that's okay

reply

It surely took him a long time to kill everyone. Or at least knock em' all out. I'd have been a little more aggressive if someone was trying to kill my daughter.

reply

seriously - this film is almost as bad as MANOS - The Hands of Fate

This was truelly the worst piece of crap i have ever seen. I can only allude it to the sensation of being raped in your eye sockets. I really want the hours of my life back that were spent watching it :(

i at least watched this movie to get the full effect of the film, so as not to waste the 2 or so bucks I spent... so at least i'd know what i was complaining about..

and i do-
well for 1) in the aforementioned review, they 'broke down' because they needed coolant--- which wasn't gotten from the annoying yellow Jeep - it was 'donated' by a lady cop who stops - who isn't a lady cop at all... it's "Julia", the "witch" or vampire or whatever the hell she is... just she's in a cop outfit & driving a cop car..

or at least i think it was her - had the same hair, so idk wtf! LMAO
but it was a cop who gave them the coolant.... not the supplies in the yellow jeep..
