Does Rosie Perez have a Fan Club?

I just watched Yo soy Boriqua. . .and would like Rosie to know how this film affected me. I grew up in Hawaii and was influenced by my Puerto Rican Grandma and relatives. While not as fanatical as the Nuyoricans, here is what I remember about my relatives:
Most parties and receptions had a cachi cachi band and my father used to make me dance with him. At the time I was so embarassed, but now look back on those times with fondness. And the smell of baby powder is fresh in my memories because it got sprinkled on the floor before the dancers came out.
We always had pasteles and gandule rice for every special occasion. My Dad learned how to make them from my Grandma and even though he is Japanese, I think he makes them better than my Auntie.
We are loud and close knit. We talk too much and the older ones (my Mom's age and older) throw in the few Puerto Rican words they know when appropriate.
I really enjoyed Rosie's movie. It makes me appreciate who I am. I wouldn't be here if my Grandma's grandparents hadn't moved to Hawaii to work in the sugar cane fields.
