Puerto Ricans is not a race

It's a culture. So, if a person is not raised in Puerto Rico, they're not Puerto Ricans. Nuyoricans see their heritage as a novelty and occasionally participate in moderation. Nuyoricans also have a distorted image of what Puerto Rico is and because of them, the view of Puerto Rico and its inhabitents by foreigners has been damaged.

I realize not all nuyoricans are uneducated thugs, but even the bright ones have been raised in a different culture. I say this because nuyoricans feel they have a right to represent puerto rico by wearing clothing and participating in parades. Please stop doing this.

Nuyoricans do not see their heritage as a novelty. We are proud of the culture of our ancestors. What is this distorted image of which you speak? Real Nuyoricans know the history of our island. The negative stereotype began before Nuyoricans ever to be. People depicted Puerto Ricans as uncivilized savages that were "saved" by whites. This is so sickening. We have the right to represent our island through any means we wish. We will continue wearing our flag and going to our parades. Why don't you stop being ignorant.

War itself is the enemy of the human race.
