Available on DVD somewhere?

Just curious... does anyone know where to order the DVD?

reply

how about you wait for the movie to actually be released and ask the question again.
It's running now in Spain, so a DVD will follow, but now for a while.

Not sure if the movies will be released on separate DVD or as an actual part of the 92 DVDs project. I easily imagine the movies becoming completely interactive with available click-throughs on each subwindow. The whole 16 episodes were presented in montreal this week and I guess it's quite time for an imdb update. (Part 3 isnt here at all while episode 3 is just included in part 1) The whole project is already quite confusing itself so we don't need imdb to add to the confusion.

On a sidenote, Greenaway is presenting the video game part on Sunday here, not sure i'll be able to make it (was kind of a Greenaway-heavy week here) but i'll sure check it out.

There is an absolutely annoying shortage of any concrete information regarding the Tulse Luper Project, especially future plans, releases, etc. Not even to mention that there is a dreadful shortage of releases all around, which is sadly likely to persist for some time yet.
I am dying to be able to see the complete trilogy again (including TLS:Antwerp, now possibly known as "The Moab Story, part 2", according to petergreenawayevents.com), but will I ever be able to? In the mean time, I am resigned to watching my Spanish release of TLS:Moab1 repeatedly. (And it never ceases to amaze me.)

Three discs has been annonunced recently in Russia by Karmen Video company(distributed and printed by DVD-Land). In russian on-line shops all three stated as pre-oredered. Information about exact street date is not available.

These discs include:
- Part 1: The Moab Story (127 min, PAL)
- Part 2: Vaux to the Sea (108 min, PAL)
- Part 3: From Sark to the Finish (105 min, PAL)

Technical specs looks not so good: 1.33:1, english 5.1, russian 5.1, w/o subs. But despite the fact that aspect ration stated as 1.33:1 it can be letterboxed (non-anamorphic) 1.85:1 version.
Actually I don't have these DVD's on hand but will try to report about details soon.

Good luck on your exam, but I don't know about the films. I believe 2 & 3 are impossible to obtain in any form. I would be prepared to pay with my own blood to see these three films. Please, Peter, please!

That's fantastic news! (Well, all things considered, it may not be perfect, but it's something big still.) Where did you get the information from?

Please keep us informed!

Finally I'd got all three mentioned DVD and report about its technical specs as promised.
Actually I believe that is only one known release of parts 2 and 3.

Technical specs (similar for all discs):
- DVD-9 (avg. 7.5Gb)
- 1.85:1 letterbox (non anamorphic)
- russian dubbing only (DD5.1)
- no subtitles
So it's useful only for russian speaking Greenaway fans :-(

The three Tulse Luper Suitcases films have just been released in Australia on DVD. They are priced at about $60 Australian, include 3 discs (1 per film) and extras. The transfers are first rate.
