Fantastically Powerful!

having just seen this film, I feel that it warrants being bombarded with superlatives! The acting is utterly convincing and Gerald McSorley's performense is immense!
The direction was superb, had a great documentary feel, which certainly added weight to the beleivability and credibility!

it is powerful, I taped it from TV ages ago....and Gerard was fantastic in it........again hand-held like Sunday Bloody Sunday worked far better - more like a docu-film. I remember, I was in Dublin that day and came back home after 9pm before taxi guy told me the news.........image that will stick in my head forever is the woman in blouse and skirt just standing there covered in blood and looking all round her in shock plus other screams......all caught on camera......

it was awful............

I want to all men!

I wento into the theater not knowing what to expect and I was absolutely stunned by how powerful this movie is. Almost like watching a documentary in its realism.

I saw this at the Galway film festival some years back, with the cinematographer and some other cast and crew in attendance. But I could not speak for about an hour after seeing it, so only managed to shake the hands of a couple of them in utter silence as I left.

One of the most powerful experiences of my life.

Agreed.

I looked into it because Brendan Coyle (now of Downton Abbey fame) did an online chat with PBS recently in which he was asked about his favorite or most important role. He said Omagh, impressive considering of all his roles he is only in the film a couple of minutes.

I like history so when I read what it was about I wanted to see it and I'm glad I did. I had never even heard McSorely, but it is one of the most credible performances I have seen.

Have you seen McSorley in Veronica Guerin? He's pretty powerful in that too.
