at the end of the film when ruben is looking down the street and how it has become, the camera then pans to a building behind him that is demolished. did this mean that nanny's house was pulled down?

No. It symbolizes that the things he grew up with....the street, that life, has crumbled in some ways.

I just Goggled the exact street address that was named in the movie. 32 Wasson Avenue. It's just a vacant lot there, it had to have been torn down.
I would love to see the origional house.
