S. Epatha Merkerson

She was well deserving of the Emmy, Golden Globe, and SAG award she picked up for her role as Ms. Rachel/Nanny. I was so damn happy she was given a lead role. It was time for her to recognized as a leading actress. The woman is wonderful. I'd love to see her on-stage. She seems like she'd be very cool, down-to-earth too.

After all those years being wasted on LAW & ORDER it was wonderful to see Merkesen get a role worthy of her talent and run with it...she deserved every award she won.

S Epatha Merkerson was incredibly moving in this role. She is such a skilled actress, that I never felt like I was watching someone "act" Brilliant portrayal by her.

i'm sure she got paid very well "wasting away" on LAW & ORDER, my friend! lol And YES! it was nice to finally see her show off her chops.

She is a great actor and if this movie was in the category for Academy Awards she was deserving of an Oscar.

S. Epatha Merkerson definitely deserved the Emmy she received. Her acting in this film was terrific.

I agree, I saw this for the first time the other day on HBO. She's an amazing actress, and I agree. She deserved every award she got. I'd never seen her in a leading role before, and she knocked it out. Hard. I'd like to see her in new things now that L&O is ending.

It seems like Law and Order is where good actors go to be wasted. I'm a fan of Kathryn Erbe, and she hasn't had an interesting role since she played that crazy bish Shirley Belinger on Oz (which was right before she joined L&O: CI), ditto for Christopher Meloni. then there's Sam Waterson, I haven't seen him in anything since The Man in the Moon (besides L&O).

"This is IMDB: No one is ever respectful."

Now that you mention it...it does seem that way, doesn't it?

Jessie Martin was supposed to be doing a Marvin Gaye project but I haven't heard anymore about it or seen much of him lately.

Haven't seen much of Benjamin Bratt, either.

I saw Diane Neal in a commercial the other day.

Is Vincent D'Onofrio still on L&O: CI? I think he's a talented actor. I enjoy watching him.

You mentioning OZ makes me remember all the talent on that show!
