This was a strange movie to me ...

The first half of this movie, the set-up was done with such
mastery and grace, it was like a ballet, ever movement was
synchronized and perfect.

Then in the second half it tried to go so fast and got so ugly
and unpleasant I ended up disliking it intensely.

I kind of feel that the police have enough problems in society
now, and even back then and before, it making these movies
of massive convoluted police corruption and intrigue.

But I always respect the way this movie ramped up in the first
half, it was awesome.
