Confused by the stage select feature.

I'm having a hard time picking out the next stages nessacary to continue through the story. I usually end up repeating the same stages. The 2nd objective in naoko's first mission is difficult...How do you deafeat all of the shibito when they all get up?

This is the mission with the woman TV reporter first meeting up with Akira, right?

First of all, have you completed this level with Akira Shimura BEFOREHAND (DAY /0819) and switched the train tracks in the mine tunnel? If not, you cannot complete obj #2 on this level yet. Go and complete that first.

BTW, once you complete this objective/level, i think you get the stage select feature and you can come and go as you want, so to speak.

Well if my memory serves me right if you go to the 'light blue unattempted stage' it will show the line(s) that connects to all the stages in which you have to complete the second mission objective or 'some very small detail' that 'you might have overlooked'. I think if you hold the L1 button (I think it's that one) down you're able to track down were those lines go to.

The stage select feature is pretty useless in my opinion because if you unlocked a new stage you are forced to complete the first mission objective of that stage.

You might ask yourself how you are able to locate those petty clues with invinceable monsters lurking around. It might be hard to swallow but in these cases you have to consult a walkthrough/faq or download videos from a link I've provided in an earlier topic which shows perfect level walkthroughs by a player with divine video game skills. I know it's hard to play a game by using some help but somehow the solutions are just too outlandish.

I think that everybody who played Siren got to the point of annoyance but you should continue playing because firstly the story is pretty decent and unique compared to other games, secondly the harder later levels provide some pretty good chills and lastly it is a great feeling (atleast it was to me) knowing that you completed such a hard game.

Stage selection led me to 100% complete. Unlike RE, which is pretty much shoot the foes to death, Siren is more relying on tactics and that is where you find yourself totally hooked to it.
