So when you do a deed by yourself are they just supposed to take your word for it?

I just watched it a second ago, and it seemed that the ones that were solo, had spotters at the scene to report back.
After completing "Meat on Whole Wheat", Zack comes back to get the next deed and you hear one of the football players say that he received a report confirming it.
