The dad is HORRIBLE

I watched this when it was on and enjoyed it. I found it online and I've been rewatching old episodes. I still find it really funny, especially Pearce and Parker. But the stuff with the dad just isn't funny. I think it's meant to be, which makes it worse. I find myself getting actually angry at the father. He has no redeeming qualities, and he seems to be a horrible person. Right now I'm watching the Battle of the Bands episode, and I had to pause it to write this, because I had to get out my frustration. I know it's just a show, but I really like it, except for Bob. I don't think it's Andy Richter, I think it's how he's written and he just doesn't seem to care at ALL when he messes things up for his kids or makes them miserable. The mom can be bad sometimes, but actually cares, and is not ever nearly as bad as Bob. He seems like a terrible person in general and I can't understand how it's tolerated.

If I ever start referring to these as the best days of my life, remind me to kill myself.
