early 80's theme song

NBC's theme song for the Sunday NFL was the coolest I've ever heard, before or since. I've never heard if it had a specific name or if it was a certain style of music. It was just plain catchy. (especially when they showed cheerleaders bouncing around!!!) I remember it having some kind of conga/bell solo in the middle somewhere (especially when they showed cheerleaders bouncing around!!!).

It might have first played in '79 but not sure. Networks, for some reason, always end up ruining their theme music. ABC did the same thing to MNF; in the '70s it was pretty good, OK into the early '80s and then totally tanked with that moronic Hank Williams Jr crap. Gawd, I hated that HW Jr. garbage.

The best for me was the 1986-1988 theme. The one that starts with a bell tone and the Lombardy Trophy rising up from the bottom of the screen.
