Hihi Puffy AmiYumi is cancelled!
According to the blog from the show's crew, Cartoon Network has pulled the plug on the show, another sign of it's demise is the show's site on Cartoon Network has been pulled.

Okay, the show's not a masterpiece, but it's preferable to such televised dreck as "Dragonball Z" or "Cow and Chicken."
For Asian girls in toons, I'll take "The Life and Times of Juniper Lee."
Yep they cancelled it so they could go ahead with "Class of 3000". Good riddance I say.

The offensive thing about this show is that it was on for so long and that bad cartooning gets defended just because there are Japanese people on the show. If it were a cartoon with Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan with the same storylines but without the pseudo-Japanese speech, you'd want this show nuked.

Britney's over the hill herself, and Lohan is better known as an actress than as a singer. I find Puffy Amiyumi's songs to be catchy and fun, something that can't be said about Britney or LiLo's. Ear candy at its best. Just my opinion.

Hey, I find Puffy Amiyumi's music to be loads of fun and wildly catchy. And no, I'm not an anime geek. I just have a soft spot for well-done pop music (which is why I don't like Britney).

I think the best episodes never got to air here in the US. Season 3 was really fun to work on, and shaping up nicely towards the end with a lot of great wacky stories. It seemed to me it was getting better and better. I don't think ratings were why it was cancelled. You don't bury a show like HHPAY was buried if it has poor ratings; you just cancel it outright and air all remaining episodes in a short timespan to try to snag a bit of profit off them in a last hurrah, which was not the case here.

I would've cancelled "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy" before "Hi Hi Puffy Amiyumi." The latter show at least was fun and had catchy music.

i only watched a few episodes. i didnt really like it. but i thought the music was okay. i would MUCH rather have Puffy Amy Yumi than that billy and mady show, class of 3000, camp lazlo, and a bunch of other ones...i remember back in like 1st grade i'd go over to my friends house everyday and watch sailor moon lol. and that sheep show with the oxymoron comercials...not CN at its best...but BETTER than they have now! lol

shareI actually liked this show...but I also love ppuffy Amiyumi. I even bought the dvds for my friends two kids and they love it. not all the episodes were that funny but alot of it was humerous and fun to watch...sad to ssee it go

It was one of my favorite shows on CN too, so it's sad it got cancelled. I wish they didn't fire the creator: Sam Register. People around here thinks that was the reason why it got cancelled. I don't know if it's true, but i've heard a lot of rumors about it...

They should make a comeback. They should air all these unaired episodes back on Cartoon Network because some of the shows they put these days are stupid. Such as OUT OF JIMMY'S HEAD, reruns of GOOSEBUMPS, MY GYM PARTNER'S A MONKEY, FOSTER'S HOME FOR IMAGINARY FRIENDS. The only GOOD show is CODENAME: KIDS NEXT DOOR. It's season finale is due in November.
Besides wouldn't it be great to see those girls make a comeback? After all Yoshimitu Banno of GODZILLA VS THE SMOG MONSTER infamey, is going to make another Godzilla vs Pollution flick called GODZILLA 3D, and it would be great if Puffy AmiYumi was in this film because GODZILLA VS THE SMOG MONSTER (1971) was notorious for getting interrupted by musical numbers and animated sequences.
They aired in Norway, so i've seen them all^^ It isn't on CN anymore, but on a channel called TV3.
