i have yet to see the movie and i hear from most people that it is really bad. but i'm a big Isabella Rossellini fan, and i hear that she was actually pretty good in this movie. in fact one person said that she was the only good thing about the movie.
so i have to know, was she good in this movie, or was her acting just as bad as i heard everybody elses was. i really hope it wasn't, because she is a great actress and it would be really sad (to me at least)
Yeah, even she wasn't very good. She had this weird "accusing face" that she made which really bothered me...unfortunate, because I liked her in some other things she's been in.

i started watching the movie expecting the worse piece of film ever made but was pleasently suprised. i actually really liked the movie. i've never read the books so i wan't expecting it to match up with those, and i think bad acting is really funny so that didn't bother me in the least. i think there is an unwritten law somewhere that sci-fi/fantasy mini series have to have bad acting, but the bad acting doesn't take away from the movie. take for example the oddessy, the acting was absaloutely horrible in that movie, only about 5% of the cast could act. but i still love the movie, because the bad acting made it really funny and a lot more enjoyable. if the better part of that cast were good actors the movie would have been really boring, the bad acting made the slower parts very amusing.
you have to admit that the acting was better in this movie than in the oddessy ( which also has Isabella in it as Athena. she was in the 5% that could act.) so i really liked this movie and i'm going to tape it next time it comes on. i'm sorry that all of the fans of the book were disappointed in it, must have been a real let down.
I am a big fan of her, but I think she wasn't very good in this one. She was a bit loose, and I didn't enjoy her as other times.Maybe because I'm not used to see her as an older woman(but it wasn't only that, the script was poor) Actually Shawn Ashmore was good for his role. The rest of the movie isn't worthy. I haven't read the book, but this movie is a bad one.
