RIP Apollo / Zarek

A serious bummer.

Richard Hatch was a consummate professional, an actor who brought intelligence and insight in to whatever role he was playing.

One thing that always stood out to me was the way he handled the revival of "Battlestar" in 2003. After years of trying to relaunch the show, Ronald Moore's version was given the green light.

Now Hatch could have sat bitter on the side lines, but he accepted a small role in the new series and had the acting chops to turn it in to something meaty and lasting. His character of "Zarek" was interesting and integral, and brought a lot to the table.

Thanks for the performances, Mr. Hatch. A big salute to you.

That's sad. RIP.

So sad to hear.

Just to echo other posters comment that he brought a lot more to what was just a minor part and made it bigger than it was.
