ah, those disaffected euros


Don't get me wrong; I'm sure I like a higher percentage of Euro films than American films, or at least I think so (I'm always thinking there must be a lot of trash over there that compares to Hollywoodized garbage over here, only we never see most of it, so we have the impression that Euros are more likely to make good films than Americans are even if that may not be true).

But this film is another in a big (and growing) group of European films where we're supposed to find something about self-focused, bourgeois, "alienated" (gag), even criminal Euros (usually youth, but not always) interesting enough to want to watch their miserable little lives throughout an entire film.

Ugh.
