Why did Toby get mad at Bree?
I don't understand why Toby got so mad at Bree for being a Trans. Toby is bi-sexual himself and I thought it was mean how he called Bree a freak. Maybe because Bree lied to him?
Yes the issue was that she lied and he felt betrayed. He proved at the party that he didn't think badly of trans people.

I don't know which is the best way to refer to transgender parents, since the term that is technically correct must feel weird to use when it doesn't match that person's new gender. I guess it varies depending on the person and situation.
