Kerry-ism

Everybody is always criticizing W for his "Bush-isms", so I'd like to innagurate a similar category for Senator Kerry titled:"Meaningless Quotes That Don't Make Any Freaking Sense". I know it's a lot longer than the previous, but it gets to the point. Everyone is familar with the quote describing how John voted to fund weapon distribution before voting against it, but I have one that captured less attention. When, questioned by an MTV reporter about his taste in music, Kerry responded by saying that he didn't like rap music, but he thinks people should listen to it. I know that the statement doesn't carry any detrimental significance, but it does illustrate the fact that Kerry cannot take a side anything!

I agree. Kerry definitely should stop addressing the nation as though he were speaking to intelligent, thoughtful, insightful persons capable of rational thought based on experience, research, and evidence.

reply

What Kerry meant is that he PERSONALLY didn't enjoy rap music, but valued what it had to offer. Wait, why this does even matter?

reply

Holy *beep* you found a "Kerry-ism." Where did you pull that name from? Christ, he was saying he doesn't like to listen to it but it can have some good messages. Even if this was considered a Kerry-iism, you only found one compared to Bush's countless Bush-isms.

reply

Actually I cited two, moron. Read the statement again. If you want another one, just look to his repsonse when questioned by Diane Sawyer about whether or not the war was worth it. Kerry thinks that: "It depends on the outcome." The difference between Bush-isms and Kerry-isms is that when Bush makes a misstatement, it usually arrives in the form of a word-fumble. When Kerry makes one, however, it's most commonly a sentence that doesn't make any sense, or one that contradicts itself.

Mr. Skandl,

Don't get too upset. The liberals that frequent this site are long on cliches and short on logic. The upside is, soon we will be say "John who?"

Touché... crap! I just spoke french!

reply

It is not Kerry's fault that you can't understand one small sentence.

It's pretty obvious what he meant. I don't like milk, but I think people should drink it. What's so confusing about that?
