Ugh! See this instead...

What an incredible disappointment! The film started out well enough...but then descended into long-in-the-tooth 1960s pseudo-surrealism of a type you have certainly seen better elsewhere. As for the Poe storyline, see the following version instead: http://imdb.com/title/tt0068504/
While this is not a great film, some of the nightmarish imagery is unlike anything you have ever seen.
