I was part of the cast, and it was my least favorite film I have worked on so far. Most of the crew was incredible and worked hard, but there were quite a few higher ups that partook in more conniving and swindling than I have ever seen on a single set--and I have seen a lot. They played down-and-dirty politics for absolutely no reasonable gain. The whole thing was really silly, and cost a lot of valuable networking. (Let's just say a few actors from the main cast are very bitter about some lies that were fed to them by a particular producer, and that's not very nice).

I was wondering how did you finde out about them having to have the opening of the movie here in Eugene? I did not know that there was a rule about this. Do you know possibly when they are going to? The news here unless you watch KEZI sucks! But GO DUCKS!

I was part of the crew and up until the poo hit the fan with it, I was having the time of my life. The crew were amazing, the cast couldn't have been cooler (I got to pick up Mary Stuart Masterson and Alessandro Nivola from the dinky little Eugene airport, they were hilarious) but the rediculous antics by the Exec. Producer and her lacky (we'll just call him Army J...he was an ex drill sargent) we're enough to make the entire crew go on strike. I was fired from the crew not being willing to lie to one of my contacts about his merchandise being abused in the film the day before the crew went on union strike. Army J refused to pay me what I was owed in accordance with Oregon law and when I presented him with Oregon Labor Dept. papers he threw a hissy fit. Swearing at me and threatening me. It got me paid, but they still owe me for 200 bucks in petty cash. Such a shame. If the movie wasn't going to be good, then there would be no problem. But I have a feeling from the early edits I saw that it's going to be great. They won't even let me put my name on IMDb to get credit for the 3 months I spent working on it. There goes seeing my name in the credits for the first time.

See glad you can represtent the Ducks and all but most of the movie was filmed at OSU So GO BEAVERS!!! woooohoooo

reply

Huh? According to the director in the commentary (I have an advance copy of the DVD for review), the ENTIRE movie was filmed in Eugene... I watched it today and I recognized each part. The faculty center is the building right off of Franklin Blvd, the hospital was Sacred Heart and the very few campus scenes were at the U of O. Maybe I missed something but which part/s were filmed at OSU?

the "special thanks" at the end of the movie specifically say on top: "the city of Eugene"
