What in the world is Rabbit?!?!

I always assumed that Rabbit was a male, but in the trailer to this movie, he is wearing curlers in his ears, and a pink bathrobe! Is he actually just a grumpy old woman?? Perhaps he just likes to wear woman's clothing... :-)
Anyway, It's been on my mind and i didn't know if anyone knew the story.

Thanks!

I did'nt see the curlers, when did you?

"treat everyone the way you'd want to be treated."

I did see that too. I don't think they are trying to say he is an old woman (but I can totally see where you could get that idea), just that Rabbit is very prissy, which as we all know if very true to Rabbit's character. :)

Just my opinion!

he does wear curlers in the trailer but only in the international trailer not the american trailer.

Yea, coz in Pigglets BIG movie Roo refers to him as 'Mr Rabbit'

I think it's more of a case that's he's a grumpy old man!

Rabbit is a male. I worked on the film as a storyboard artist. We put curlers on Rabbits ears because it was funny. Okay, maybe because he's a bit prissy too, but mainly because it was funny. When the drawings were originally done, Rabbit just opened the door in his bathrobe. Boring. The director did a drawing of Rabbit with his ears done up in curlers and we all cracked up. It was very silly but it gets a big laugh so it's in the picture. It was funny, nothing else.

lol...I mean Snoop Dogg wears rollers, so I guess it's okay for Rabbit to wear rollers too :)

The great mystery. He has always been rather feminine. Then again, she has always been somewhat masculine. What are they trying to suggest?

is owl supposed to be a doll too? because he doesn't have the obvioud stitches that the others have...

In the books, everyone was a doll except owl and rabbit, crazy jen.

I saw it today in the United States and Rabbit did answer the door with his ears in curlers at the very beginning of the movie. He is definitely a male with some type of obsessive compulsive disorder, that's all. The funny thing is that the characters, judging from their voices, are all relatively "aged" men, except for the two kangaroos and Christopher Robin. Hey, is Lumpy supposed to be a boy or a girl??
