Does anyone else know what Sondra Locke thought of this?

It would've been nice if she would have made a cameo as another character, or something.

She obviously isn't doing much in the way of movies anymore, so you can't help but wonder if she was flattered by it.

I watched it on my day off from work this week, and thought it was a great, heartwarming kind of movie. I'm a little disappointed that Mary Badham had no speaking lines, but maybe she isn't a member of SAG anymore.

Like Cliff Clavin, my brain is full of useless trivia

Watching it now, sweet film.

I would like to think she was flattered.

She did make a cameo towards the end of the movie. The girls ask an older lady if she had seen Sandra Locke and it was Locke herself.

Really? was that her? The one with the hat and the funny accent?

It's hard to tell.

reply

She's not listed in the credits on IMDB.

If you look on the IMDB site for the movie it is listed under trivia that Sondra made the cameo

Hi, Kurtlodernot.

As one of the producer's of OUR VERY OWN, I first wanted to say thank you for your kind words about the film. We are all very proud of it and are always thrilled when viewers respond.

Sondra Locke was very much a part of this film and gave us her complete blessings. As you may know, writer/director Cameron Watson grew up in Shelbyville, TN, which, of course, was Sondra's hometown. Much of this is based on his life experience. Sondra was very happy with the film and continues to be a great supporter of it.

Unfortunately, that is not her at the end of the film. However, a bit of useless trivia, the woman who played the lady at the end was the real-life inspiration for the Rhonda character -- Melora's older (and very droll) sister.

Thank you again for your great comments!

Best,
Steve Cubine
