In the age of Ice Road Truckers, Deadliest Catch, and other documentary style TV shows on Discovery and other such channels, why not a Series on Coast Guard Rescues.

Using the COPS format, we get to see real-life rescues as they happen.

Great publicity for the CG.

I joined the Navy to see the world, only to discover the world is 2/3 water!

Well, I guess they asked themselves why not indeed and despite YOUR opinion... went with it.
"Coast Guard Alaska", Airs on the Weather Channel along with other shows like Dangerous Catch.
