Costner looks old and withered.

This has-been or should I say (fluke) is a perfect example of not aging well.

He doesn't make a handsome older man, even though he is only 50 or 51 in this movie. His skin is all wrinkled and droopy. His eyes are puffy and wrinkled.

I personally never cared for his looks and felt he was overrated, but if he thinks he still has it, he is highly mistaken fool.

It is true that Costner was once a big star and is now pretty much forgotten but he starred in several films in which he great performances,eg NO WAY OUT,UNTOUCHABLES.JFK,13 DAYS,TIN CUP and PERFECT WORLD.
Can you remind us what good and well known films you have been in recently?

That's his opinion and he's perfectly within his rights to post them here. That's what this board is for, remember? Just because you don't agree with his position that doesn't mean you have to tear into him. Why is the "general liberal response" to those who have differing opinions always so curt and rude? I feel that Costner was washed up by the time this movie was released, but like most "artists" that were great or well known once are vain and or has a big ego and can't see that. But the viewers can.

What would you expect a senior chief rescue swimmer to look like? A lifetime of work stress, salt water exposure, failing marriage and so forth? He's not gonna look like the homecoming king anymore lol.

He was supposed to look old and weathered. It made the role all the more believable. Listen to the bartender's statements about living, loving and experience. Personally I think Mr. Kevin Costner improves with age, like a fine wine.

Oh yeah? Well given just half a chance, your girl would be straight round to his hotel room and lapping on his big old balls like a thirsty pup. That's just after she phoned you, to tell you she loved you, but that she would be working late tonight.

What do you think about that Schleprock?

Costner is the man.

I'll be watching you.
