NOT SCHIZOPHRENIA!!

I hate how most films still portray this psychological disease in such a diluted and false manner.

There was really nothing in this film that made Evilenko out to be a schizophrenic...he probably suffered from Anti-Social Personality Disorder but definitely not schizophrenia.

People with schizophrenia are generally not more violent or dangerous than other members of the population.

i agree completely, schizophrenics are not killers. they just hear voices, sometimes. and sometimes those voices are menacing and that leads to bad things (ie., murder). but on the whole, statistically, schizophrenics just don't kill anyone. they just don't.

also, schizophrenia is not the same thing as "multiple personality disorder". IT IS NOT THE SAME THING. spread the word.

yes, evilenko probably had ASPD going on. most definately.

Yes, he probably wasn't a schizoid. An obvious psychopath/sociopath... with a lot of other problems to boot.

Good movie, but the main character seemed a bit old to be able to kill all those kids.

Just because one character in the movie says Evilenko is schizophrenic and another, who is clearly not a psychiatrist, repeats what the first character says, doesn't mean that the director/screenwriter himself, or "the movie" is making that statement.

It is very common for people to misdiagnose schizophrenia, there is after all no objective method for diagnosing it. So to have characters make the same mistake is only realistic.
