citizen x director slandering evilenko!

word on the street is that the director of citizen x has been slandering evilenko and getting his friends and family to give it negative reviews and ratings! that kind of immature behavior is saddening and just plain wrong.

besides, how could anything with malcom mcdowell be bad?

I don't think Evilenko is a bad movie exactly. However, considering that it's based on real events and real people and Citizen X is also based on the same...Citizen X is a more accurate and comprehensive telling of the story. Evilenko is a run of the mill serial killer film and is clearly far more of a fictionalization. It's a horror/suspense/drama inspired by the real story, as opposed to a reporting of it. Citizen X goes a lot farther to portray the events and people involved in detail and explore the political and social climate that allowed the real killer to get away with his crimes for so long. It also attempts to explore the psychology of the killer in much more depth.

Just my personal opinion, if you're comparing the films against each other. Considering Citzen X was made roughly a decade ago and Evilenko is relatively new and low key in the public eye, I don't think there's any need to slander anyone over it.

Gee, I wonder if Chris Gerolmo, director of the excellent Citizen X and writer of the powerful Mississippi Burning could really care the smallest bit about some moronic unwatchable "film" made by soft porn "director" Grieco?

reply

Malcolm McDowell was in the Fist of the North Star live action, and it's embarrassing. Oh, And Citizen X was crap. Not at all accurate to the true story, and super R rated. What Chikatilo did was certainly not R rated stuff. Some things in the movie were cool, but it just failed. I wanted to like that movie sooooo much, and it just let me down. I'm gonna check out Evilenko, and see which is better.

What's with everyone calling him Chikatilo? I thought his name was Andre Evilenko?

So I aint holdin nuthin back & muthafu**er I got 5 on the 20 sack!

reply

His real name was Andrei Chikatilo. In "Evilenko", his name is changed to Evilenko, which just happens to contain the word "evil".

Wikipedia has an article about Chikatilo:

Cheers for that, and I'm not a complete idiot... the word EVIL does stand out quite a bit, lol.

Citizen X held true to the facts, and didn't make up lies to sell a movie. This movie is a bunch of lies, made up so Americans can hate more people. Stick to the facts, while making a movie, and not a bunch of lies, and then people won't slander. Macolm McDowell, should have invested his time in a movie with facts. No one wants to see a bad movie, that lies about a real event's and/or people, even if there maybe a hollywood actor in it. This movie should never have been made. It lies to much.

reply

What the you talking about? Evilenko is an Italian film. And, Citizen X was American. And, McDowell is British, not American. Jesus, you're an idiot.

reply

Correction, he is a russian idiot.

It is fun and games until someone gets caught. Then it's rape.
