They built this guy up to be such a badass, then at the end of the movie the barbarian chick defeats him by just scaring his horse and beating the crap out of him... and then he just gives up, lol.

Maybe after losing the dragon orb, it left him exhausted and without spells to cast, or he used his spells per day and didn't have time to catch 8 hours of rest. I mean he used to be a fighter type with magic armor and now he is a sorcerer trying to seek more magic.

I think he should'v put up a fight, or at least have it explained that he was once a fighter (as seen in the first movie), but a century of being undead and not practicing fighting had left him a tad rusty.
