Okay, I've read all the posts saying the movie is absolute crap, and I must disagree. Granted, it's not Shakespeare, but if you call yourself a Jensen Ackles fan, you must watch this movie, because Jensen is in almost every scene. The plot is a bit of a stretch, but come on, it's a horror movie.

Being a devoted Jensen fan must make me more forgiving than the other folks posting here. This film is NOT a waste of time. In fact, I watched it twice within 2 days. Yeah, yeah, yeah, maybe I should find something better to do, but a girl can only watch Dark Angel so many times!

hehe, I will have to kind of disagree with that last comment: I have watched every episode of Dark Angel at least 4 times each(except Freak Nation)...admittedly the ones I have watched MORE than that are:

Pollo Loco: ::sigh:: how can we resist Jensen at his most dangerous and vulnerable???
Designate This: NO SHIRT! And he gets named! And I fell in love with the idea of Max and Alec together as soon as the banter began... :)
Berrisford Agenda: ::pout:: Poor Alec, so distraught...can I comfort him?
Two: MAX: Read my lips, pretty boy. Get a life, get a job, and stop sticking your nose into mine. Don't make me kick your ass!
ALEC: You know, this whole tough-chick act thing is really unbecoming. "I'm gonna bounce you on your ass. I'm gonna smack your bitch head." It's so unfeminine. (And then he WHINES for a ride home, how cute!)

I could keep going with this all day; however, let me just stop on my DA rant with this: There is no way that I would voluntarily subject myself to Freak Nation more times than needed. Yes, making a stand is great. Yes, Ames White trying to yell through duct tape and look commanding ::snicker:: is adorable and hilarious. But I REFUSE to watch Max hold Logan's hand when she broke up with him and told him she was with Alec and I cannot force myself to watch as Logan saves Alec. NO WAY IN HELL.

Okay...now on to talking about the movie this thread is about, lol: My main reason for buying this DVD, I'll admit, was the fact that my Golden Boy (that's the last DA reference in this post, I swear! lol) is in almost every scene, as you stated. But I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was decent movie...as I've said before, not the greatest, but good. Better than some.

You know what I've noticed? When I talk about Jensen, I tend to go on huge, multi-paragraphed rants. Who'da thunk?

HaHa, yes I must agree with your assessment of ultra-watchable episodes of Dark Angel featuring Jensen. I bought DA Season 1 for the sole purpose of getting my hands on Pollo Loco, and I've lost count of how many times I've watched it! Even though he gets his neck snapped, I still can't get enough of his gorgeous lost-little-boy eyes in that episode. And The Berrisford Agenda... does it even need an explanation?

A couple of "shirtless" scenes in other episodes worth mentioning. Alec on the bed watching tv, his chin on the pillow (episode Bag 'em, I think)... gorgeous! And Alec and Max's cage-fight in Fuhgeddaboudit.

Back to Jensen's lost-little-boy eyes... besides Pollo Loco and The Berrisford Agenda, I also count those scenes in "Devour" as among my favorites -- trying so hard not to cry as he approaches his mother in the hospital, and his tearful "Will you be with me?" moment with Shannyn at the end.

Now, I have certainly purchased other movies solely because of an actor I liked... Marc Blucas in "They," "Summer Catch," and "First Daughter" come to mind! So, if we want to talk horror movies with awful plots, bad acting, and terrible endings, let's switch to "They!" That movie is only bearable for me when Marc is on the screen. At least "Devour" is a decent movie, and well-acted all around (unlike some other "blockbusters" I could name - Star Wars Attack of the Clones, anyone?).

This is one of the worst movies ever made, and anyone who tolerates watching it, let alone tries to justify it's existence as a piece of anything other than **** is an obsessed, sick teeny-bopper girl. Are you all 13? BTW: This guy is a terrible actor. He delivers his lines as though he were reading them off cue cards, and his overall performance is so wooden it's laughable. Then again, I've never seen him act in anything other than this terrible movie, but I don't intend to either. How you could actually grant this movie anything other than disdain because of your pathetic infatuation with the lead actor is beyond me. Trust me, when you turn 19 years old you're all going to be embarrased about your sad devotion to this crap actor. He's basically Freddie Prince Jr 2, and this movie is about as good as Leprechaun in Space. You people are insane. You'd love a movie where this guy tapped his fingers and hummed for three hours. Sad. It would be fine if you could say something like "wow, what a terrible movie. Still, I saw it because I have a pathetic and obsessed devotion to the lead actor... I hope he gets better roles." This movie is painfully bad.

You know, I'm not even going to say anything but... people who tend to put down things/people are insecure about themselves. Why don't you look at yourself before judging others. And so what if you didn't like this movie? DON'T watch it, and DON'T waste your time posting pathetic comments (are you sure YOU aren't the 13 year old?). Oh, and how many awards and roles have you won? Um, yeah. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't and make a like a tree and lea(f)ve.

Hm, I guess I did say something. Though, it wasn't my intention to stoop to such a level of insecurity and immaturity.

I have to say Devour was a horror movie that made me laugh because of its crapness but still It did have promise and Jensen did a good job. Without him the movie would have suffered a lot more.

Judging by what I've seen & heard over the past 5 years I also doubt Jens would be "boring" in bed! Like unless you expect him to be a friggin flying Wilenda, I dunno what people think.
He isn't a porn star and I wouldn't expect him to act like one either. That would be a turn off to me..I'll take "boring" any day! he can't be any worse than my ex fiance was! LOL
All I can say is boring..shmoring...I'd trade places with the chick that played Dakota in a friggin heartbeat! None of my ex's were that willing and as patient as Jake was...in ALL areas!

Sorry for the late reply. I didn't know that it was immature or pathetic to write a bad review. I think that convincing yourself to tolerate a terrible movie because you're infatuated with the terrible lead actor is significanatly more pathetic, and I think pointing that out is hardly out of place. Who really uses the "if you don't have something nice to say..." retort besides obsessed lunatics who have NOTHING to say. Why do I need to win awards to be qualified to point out that someone is a terrible actor? This is also a truly awful movie. I certainly don't see how winning awards would strenghten or weaken my point that your defense of this movie is for completely arbitrary reasons. It's irritating to see a bunch of people limply trying to defend this trash simply because they are infatuated with this Jensen Ackles person. I posted what I did as a service to anyone who might be mislead by the biased reviews of these fangirls. If I don't have anything nice to say, I guess I'll say something that isn't nice. At least it will hopefully warn people that this movie is garbage.

Nothing's going to change what you think, but I'm not concerned with that. At the very least I'd like to let anyone else know that your opinions on this matter are completely worthless.

#1) - I am 35 years old, but thanks for the compliment. I often say that "I am in touch with my inner teenager." In 35 years, I have had plenty of opportunities to get obssessed with all kinds of different things, and I don't look back and get embarassed about any "sad devotion." Life's too short, man. Lighten the heck up.

#2) - Did you not see the subject "Jensen Fans, Watch this Movie" ?? This thread obviously does not apply to you. Plus, I'm pretty sure I said the movie is not Shakespeare, but Jensen fans would enjoy it.

#3) - You said "anyone who tolerates watching it.. is an obsessed, sick teeny-bopper girl." So, where does that leave you? Why didn't you just turn it off if you didn't like it?

#3) - You're probably right. I probably would love a movie where he tapped his fingers for 3 hours. If that makes me insane, that's fine. It's a good place to be, and I've got lots of company!

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I am with you. I am 38, my husband is 26, and I would also sit and watch Jensen for 3 hours just tapping his fingers. I think he is just the perfect blend of handsome, beautiful and rugged. I just like to look at him. Now if he was playing someone who was truly repugnant, I may not want to watch it, but for the most part I just like looking at him, and I will watch the movie.

I'm 20, I admit that Jensen Ackles makes me drool, and eventhough I've never seen this movie, I'm pretty sure I would watch it if it ever came on even if it was crap simply because he's in it.

If you waste your time going around threads that obviously don't concern you about movies you don't like, you are in serious need of a life or at least, to revise your priorities. Stick around the stuff you like, and you might be a more pleasant person. That was my own personal way of telling you to shut the *beep* up and leave people alone.

Ya most of the ppl who have watched this movie say that the movie is crap but i have seen so many scenes of the movie , maybe some of u might think that shes his fan but she didnt watch his movie , well i have a prob its that Devour is not yet released here in United Arab Emirates which is the place where im living .

The trailer of the movie looks great which made me interested in the movie and ah after u said that Jensen is almost in every scene then im gonna defenetly watch it when it gets released here .

Heya! I am a huge Jensen fan, well, iv seen every episode of Dark Angel, goodness knows how many times, and im interested in watching this movie....i havent yet but i will! I agree with everyone who loves Jensen, lol. Especially your posts, Raish-1! I frequently watch films because i like the lead, thats what gets you interested in the movie. i love all of the eps everyone has specified with Jensen in! lol! Yum! I'm 16 (nearly 17!!) and i so will not be ashamed of liking someone like Jensen when im older...when im 30 he will only be like, 41. what's the big??

anyway, does anyone know if Supernatural is coming out in the UK????

The Supernatural Pilot episode was on yesterday (26 of Jan 2006), at 23:05 (GMT), on Sky's channel ITV2 (118). For those in the UK.

That means it is on every Thursday at 11:05pm ITV2 (118).

uh hu, sweetie, i happen to be nineteen years old, and honestly, given the bad reviews, i wasnt to upset with this film. It started out great, the plot kinda went squiffy at the end but hey, dont matter cos it was enjoyable.
As for Jensen, he acted wonderfully, im not saying he's oscar material just yet but there are few male actors who can look so convincingly upset or moved on screen, and Jensen is one of the few.

As for a 'pathetic and obsessed devotion' im sure you wouldnt be a member of IMDB if yu didnt have a few pathetic and obsessed devotions your self.

If you dont like a movie, dont *beep* all over people who do because you have zero self confidence and want to try to bully people into thinking like you do.

Im not saying you should like it just cos ive said so or cos other people do, its your choice and if you dont like the film, that is absolutely fine,but you dont have to be such a b itch about it.

I think he a pretty good actor and you should watch something else than this very, very sorry excuse of a movie before you judge him. He was really good in Day Of Lives and in the show, Supernatural. But I only 4 ep. of it and that was at the end, so of course, they're going to the most dramtic piece. *shrug* So many it not good.

I consider myself a fan. Yes, I admit, his looks was the first thing to drawn me to him, but Jensen is very talented and plus the Dark Angel was a great show. The only time, I ever liked Jessica Alba. But I hate this movie. I thought he did semi-well but the only reason why I saw it was because of Shannon Sossamon.

and the people that like this film because of Jensen are not fans but FANGIRLS...rapid fangirls.

Hit me. I'm serious, I can't feel anything, hit me! Again, do it harder!

ok...well i am 19 years old and seriously dont judge an actor when u only seen him in this one role. Yes i grant u that this wasnt the best movie but if u have seen him in his other, better, roles then u might have a better understanding why people are infatuated with him. There is nothing wrong with people liking him alot...

and FYI he has had some really good roles...have u seen Supernatural? It is one of the most highly watched shows. and not just 13 year old girls watch it...my boyfriend happens to LOVE that show.

so if u dont like this movie that is fine, no one is making u...but dont trash on actor u know nothing about...

You may think Jensen's fans are pathetic for liking him when you don't, and to be quite honest, your opinions on that subject would be of little consequence to me if you weren't so pathetic yourself. If you don't like Jensen Ackles then fair enough, i don't understand you but that doesn't matter. But what gets to me is that you have some kind of hate for him and yet you're on a message board about him slagging him off to his fans, how redundant.

And just so we're clear on my opinions of this film and why I watched it, i'll tell you. I did actually watch Devour because i knew that Jensen Ackles was going to be in it, and despite what you say he is a very good actor and I thought that the movie may be good.

After watching the movie, i have come to the conclusion that the movie was not the best that i've ever seen and i'm not going to say "oh well, I liked it because it had Jensen Ackles in it" because that is simply not true. I was disapointed with this film and that's all there is to say on the matter.

I am neither 13 or obsessed with him and do not appreciate your assumption that all Jensen Ackles fans are, it's very insulting, and incorrect.

I've never seen this movie and I was just checking the reviews, but trust me, he can actually act. I doubt I'll watch this movie, but he's great in the show Supernatural--seriously. There are no other roles he's ever played in that I would recommend to you because I have taste in films and even if I might like a movie I can tell you if they're stinkers. This looks like a stinker just by the preview. I say don't judge an actor by just one role. I've seen at least 95% of actors play in at least 1 or 2 roles that I'm sure they wouldn't want to see the light of day, but the next role they have everyone is congratulating them and telling them they're wonderful. I am a fan of Ackles, but it's because of his role in Supernatural and the fact that it actually takes acting skills to play the character he plays. Ackles also starred in My Bloody Valentine, the remake, and I'm pretty sure a lot of these girls ran to see it, but I saw the 1981 version of the same film and it was horrible, so why would I go see it just because he's in it? You're right, they probably would love it if he just sat there in a film and hummed and tapped his fingers (and screamed if he took of his shirt just once, even if he doesn't have the best physique)--I had to laugh out loud at that one--because it's true. At forums girls/women sometimes pay anything from $500-$2000 to ask them questions about Supernatural and get signed autographs. I just watch the vids on youtube, personally (and yes, I do appreciate the chicks who post them before anyone reads this and criticizes me for mooching LOL). To each his own. It's not his fault the girls act like this when it comes to him, so you can't blame him and trash ALL of his works because of his obsessed fans. That's not right. Sure, this movie was terrible in your opinion, but that doesn't say he's a bad actor. One thing though, I gotta admit your post had me laughing too much! But no...please don't compare him to Freddie Prinze Jr...trust me, this ain't the guy.

did u see the DA ep., i think it was Borrowed Time, where Alec came out of the bathroom and that towel was barely covering him. *sigh* lol. and dont forget the swimming scene in the Berrisford Agenda. :)

I actually want to watch this.
I just recently became a Jensen fan when I saw the pilot for Supernatural in September. I believe he has potential and he needs to do a movie for the theaters. I also want to see Jared Padlecki's movie House of Wax, I know he gets killed off but these guys are so good on Supernatural.....

yeah the only reason I'd watch those movies is because they're in it. The story lines probably suck.

My best friend dropped round just i was about to pop in devour (which i had rented out purely for jensen)into the dvd player. I tried to shoo her out cause she knows of my obsession with jensen but is (ridiculously) prejudiced against all things fantasy and sci-fi (therefore i cannot get her to watch dark angel & she stood at the door, facing the other way when i wanted her to hear sean biggerstaff's hot accent in HP.) Anyway i knew if this were the first thing she ever saw jensen in she would not understand my obsession, i knew the movie would be crap, but she saw the cover & wanted to watch & she was nice saying things like 'he has a nice chin' & we tried to figure out who alan ackles was playing and what relation he is was to jensen (though i already knew, i didn't think she had to know that) though i was confused at the end where he was credited as paul kilton? showing that i didn't really get the movie at all.and trying to explain to her that bill sadler couldn't possibly be jensen's dad without divulging how i know who bill sadler is & why he can't be. this isn't jensen's best work, obviously, & i thought he was too pretty boy for the part, i reckon he could have grown some facial hair so it'd be more obvious why he hung out those friends of his. & i hated shannyn sossamon (whom i can't stand) being near him. anyway i'm pretty sure despite my insistance that he was far better in dark angel & she'd love him too if she'd only watch it. i'm pretty sure she thinks i'm sad. (but then her ultimate fantasy night is spent with bob geldof, so i think she's sad too).
in conclusion, it was a crappy movie. i'm going to go watch it again.

Haven't checked in for a while, due to an obsessive need to re-watch all Supernatual episodes! I am liking that Jensen's character "Dean" gets more depth to him with each passing episode.

Just wanted to note that I've enjoyed all the recent posts, and I am always happy to find kindred spirits out there! Spikes Angel 1, is that a random address, or a Buffy reference? Trini2199, love those scenes! (Don't forget Ben's "mirror" scene from Season 1!) And Oska494, I caught the Sean Biggerstaff reference. I absolutely fell in love with SB in the "explaining Quidditch" scene from HP. If you haven't yet, check out seanbiggerstaff.com.

Wow, this is so weird, I could have written what raish-1 wrote. I watched the movie last friday (the 13th). And I didn't think it was to bad. Not very horror like, but ok. And obviously I also watched it for Jensen, he was SO HOT! Now I'll have to get my DA dvd's out and watch them again. I'm so in love with Jensen, and my boyfriend is fine with it! And by the way, I'm 25 years old!

Wow, I loved reading everyone's posts. My love for Jensen started early for me when I first saw him on Days of Our Lives (thanks to my mom who was quite the fan). I forgot about him for a while until I heard he was on Dark Angel. Now, I was a HUGE Buffy fan (that was my show) so when Dark Angel appeared on the scene I totally hated it because it was taking some of Buffy's glory away (as well as the golden globe for best actress in a drama!). I did watch one episode with Jensen in it and just melted all over again, but again I did not like the show. Well Thank God Supernatural came along because he is just awesome and I am so freaking happy that I am able to watch him every week. I definitely think he has the potential of becoming a leading man. And regarding an earlier comment - I am not ashamed to say that about all of the movies I watch are for the actors in them, or I come to find that I really like an actor in a movie and then I watch all of that person's movies. So I've actually gained more and watched some really good movies that I probably wouldn't have gotten around to watch, because I watch movies for the actors. (that made sense in my head, so I hope it makes sense on here)

You just posted everything I would! I have seen some really good movies because there was someone in them I wanted to see.
I first saw Jensen on "Smallvelle" and thought "daaaam is he hot!" so when I found out he had a new show coming out I HAD TO WATCH IT! Amazingly enough, I reaaaaaly like "Supernatural".
If I get the chance , I'll probably watch "Devour", even though I'm not really a horror fan. But I can stand to look at him for 2 hours ;)

I have seen Devour 3 times, and purchased a Previously viewed copy at Blockbuster this morning. Yes, he was good at Jason Teague on Smallville, which I have all 4 seasons of Smallville on DVD.

y'all on this post know me so well!!!!!!!Seriouslyl its like, everyone whom i fancy, u all do too, im so happy im not alone in my obsessions!!!!

I looooooved Jensen in Dark Angel, when i first saw him in Pollo Loco i was like, daaaaaaaaaaaaaam, and yeah, the 'little lost boy' eyes are such a spot on description of how he looks!!so tormented and afraid and everything!!

And i have to say, i loved Alec in DA but i hated how the writers made Max such a cow to him ALL THE TIME like when he got arrested for the murders Ben committed and couldnt be there for Logan (like, boohoo let him die already he's dull) she just immediatly assumed Alec must have done something bad!!!And then she tells him she killed Ben who was effectivly his twin and made it all about poor ikkle Max!! I mean i know i know, she saw Ben and the others as her siblings so yeah it was sad for her but i thought there was a real oppurtunity for the writers to maybe explore how Alec would have dealt with knowing Ben was a killer, I mean we already know he got six months psych evaluation after Ben died, just in case Bens insanity was gene based, so why not look into that??!!
and then stuff like, the berrisford agenda, yeah it was Alec centric but it was like, one ep then back to arrogant Alec, which is fine cos i love his sexy arrogant self but they could have gone into that a wee bit more, had his sadness carry over for a few more eps.

I loved him in devour, i thought he played the role really well, given that it was kinda cheesy and hokey, hehehehehe!

Hi everyone! I just had to write in behalf of that person who totally put down Jensen Ackles and said he is a wooden actor. First, let me start by saying I have you all beat with age. Some are teenagers, one was 35, another 38. I am 40 and I will not miss an episode of Supernatural which I love. Does that make me an idiot because I can appreciate when I see a gorgeous man? No way baby. Why is ok for older men to salivate over much younger women but we can't do the same and if we do, then we are teenybopper idiots? Life is too short to worry about something like this. My whole family and my boyfriend know that I drool over Jensen. He is gorgeous. And by the way, as far as being stiff, maybe you haven't seen Supernatural. His comedic timing is unreal and he is far from stiff. I also have to get my hands on a copy of DA. Never saw it but if he is that good in it, I have to try. I am waiting for Devour to be delivered on Netflix so I can't really comment on it yet. But just to see that face? Yup, it's all worth it. LOL!

The movie finally got released here and i watched it and that wasn't the best movie ever made but it ISN'T BORING at all and it was good from the begining till the end and Jensen Ackles did a great job and made the movie fabulous ! . This movie is like the best movie for the fans of Jensen cuz he's in like evry single scene . My friends who aren't the fans of any of the actors in the movie did enjoy the movie .

I SO enjoy reading this post every now and then. There are so many of us with so much in common! I'm glad to know that there are others out there who discover an actor and then go out and watch everything that actor ever made. (My latest obsession - Wentworth Miller on Prison Break!)

Does anybody else tape Supernatural as they watch it, and then watch it again right away? I cannot go to bed happy unless I've watched the episode at least twice!

The movie was okay. Not bad, but in my opinion, not Jensen's best. Okay, and I noticed that there were a lot of DA fans on here. I've heard of the show, but never saw it. Could someone please tell me the basis of the show?

Hallo guys. I have just watched the movie Devour. I got to know about it from IMDB and decided to watch it because I'm a devoted Jensen fan, although I'm 28 :).I also watch movies beause of the actors. It was a good movie, not excellent but the story is interesting because it is different. There are lots of movies that aren't of any extraordinary high quality but are enjoyed just because of the big stars like Mr and Ms Smith, or Heat (with Al Pacino), Ronin , or Star wars etc, etc....People just like watching their favourite actors and actresses:P

I say as all the rest, nice to see so many of us obssesing over Jensen. =)

I must say i think Jensen does a much better job in DA and Supernatural than in Devour. He looks kind of stiff i think. But maybe that has more to do with the genre than the actual movie.

Dark Angel takes place in 2019 ( i think) in Seattle. Manticore creates these genetically enhanced soldiers and one day a group of X-5 soldiers escape. Max (Jessica Alba) plays the lead character, Jesen plays a short role in season one and reoccurs in season two (and we are all so happy for that). I'm 36, married and have two kids and I think Jensen is gorgeous. I can't wait to see Devour. I don't care if it's crap because I'll be watching it purely because Jensen's in it and I'm not ashamed to admit it. Why should I be? I just bought Season 2 of Dark Angel because he's in it. My hubby doesn't mind my obsession, besides, he gets to check Jessica Alba out so we both win!!!

Wow, gotta love this post! I've actually come across it way in the beginning, but never bothered to reply :) So glad that Supernatural led to a bigger Jensen following, he's a gorgeous guy who deserves some media attention for great acting - talent for comedy and drama! When it comes to Devour, I gotta say I kind of missed that Alec-spirit (or Dean for that matter, though both characters seem to be different - which proves the point of him being a good actor!) But anyway, as I was saying :) I felt that the Jake Gray character was kind of empty. I missed the cockiness and the twinkling eyes. (Actually kind of like Jason Teague - I don't think he smiled once in Smallville!! and at least with Devour, there were a few sarcastic moments way in the beginning.) But it's quite obvious why: it's what the part required! So even though I wasn't really 'feeling'it - well except for the teary eyes of course :) At one point he really looked like DA's Ben! I could even count his cute little freckles :) - the acting was still great. It's just that the cast wasn't supported with a good storyline and it was told rather plainly without any 'emotional music'. Ok, could someone tell me why I'm actually defending the guy? :) By the way, wasn't it awfull to have to see those gross satanistic/monster-scenes? Talk about contrast!!
By the way 2. Those first few posts citing DA really made me smile! One scene I've always loved is in the berrisford agenda where he falls of his bike! Now, not that I want to see anybody get hurt, but I thought it was really cute for a genetically engineered guy to lose his balance! :) And supposedly, it wasn't even in the script!

The Winchester brothers have RUINED me for any other project the actors happen to be in. I watched Devour because yes, Jensen is awesome, but I couldn't stand the ending. I hope for so much more for my precious Dean! (See how my realities seem to mesh together?) Then I go and watch Flight of the Phoenix last night to see Jared and (SPOILERS AHEAD)

couldn't stop crying from about 30 minutes in. They killed my precious Sammy! :( WHAAAAAAA. Still choked up over that one. :(

Was anybody else horrified/entranced by poor bloody/beat up/unconscious Dean in the finale of Supernatural? I hated to see him like that, and yet I could not look away!

Back to Devour... I am glad Jensen fans continue to find and support his movie!

jensen ends up all bloody at the end of a lot of things(smallville and devour) and yes, it is horrifing/entrancing.I think blood on jensen really brings out his green eyes... I know that sounded disturbing, but, hey, I'm a proud jensen whumper!!!

I agree with you totally raish-1. I only got this film because I saw Jensen was in it, and have also watched it twice within two days. This is also because with Season 1 of Supernatural having finished last Monday (in Australia), I did not get my "weekly fix" of the SUPER HOT Dean Winchester!!
Not the greatest film ever, but still very watchable!

I thought the movie sucked! The only good thing in Devour was Jensen Ackles! Tell me if i'm wrong but he was dating this girl who was his mom who was the devil!! How Gross! The story was terrible!

P.S. It was sad to see him so beat up on the finale of SN!

I don't think it sucked totally. The ending sure did, which taints how you feel about any flick.
I'm not gonna try and analyse the plot, it'd give me a headache. But the actors did pretty well with an oddball, not-sure-where-it-was-going-oops-is-it-time-to-end-it-already script.
Certainly I can see why it went straight to DVD, but I've seen far worse in movie theatres too. But then I'm much more forgiving of a well acted piece of bilge than a well written poorly acted piece.

Of course you should be afraid of the dark - you know what's out there

Sure i may be of the "teenbopper" age group you were insulting back then, but um... do i care? i dont always see the looks, okay? I mean, sure, you do have a right not to like the film, and its been said, that u DO NOT have to tell everyone how much u hate it and theat we're stupid and just following it coz we luv him... well... we do luv him (god i hope this makes sense...i tend to ramble)and i have been known to watch things coz i like the actors... why else? i mean, sure u can like a genre, but if u hate an actor in the genre, doesnt that kinda taint the genre for ya? and then its like, if u really like an actor and you want to see how well they act in different roles (which jensen pulls off - LOVE alec...*sigh* that towel almost fell...) then can u be accusd of being obsessed...i will admit that i used to be obsessed with Johnny Depp... my opinion, how can u not? but i didnt just see his looks...which a lot of ppl actually dont see (weird), but he was mature and took different roles. And so, i watch jensen with the same concept, (i am not obsessed though...yet...)he can pull off the "lovable manticore rogue, alec", the killer, Ben, and Eric Brady...and from what it sounds like, Jake Gray too... mind you my stupid family stopped watching Smallville JUST when it got good... we watched it religiously and then one day POOF "whats on the other channel?" (lousy family...)

Now i love supernatural (tape it and watch it more than once before bed too...hehe, my dad get soooo annoyed lol), and i dont just watch it for jensen (woot jared too, nah jks), but i like the storyline and the idea that it may be about zombies or vampires or w/e on the surface, but underneath it all... its really about brothers... so...yeh...what was i talking about again? lol

Also, what is this thing about 13 year olds being targeted. Cut us some slack, we're more grown up and mature than u think...well most of us... my group of friends anyway...
We are not emotionally unstable coz of hormones or whatever and clinging to the first hot guy that we see, no sir... we have feelings and i'm sick of people putting down people in my age group generally, because it makes me feel bad for being young! These are meant to be the good years for me! Posters like you are ruining it, by trying to make people grows up too fast. also... i would say im a fan, but that doesnt mean im crazy or anything...right?

Basically, i am just adding to the annoyance of everyone here... DON'T INSULT WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW! I HATE THAT! My family and friends wouldn't watch DA coz they said they didnt like it...bull$h!t... they'd never seen it. Now, they love it...ah, another conversion...okay this is getting long.

It's a pretty enjoyable horror film...I watched My Bloody Valentine after this and you can see the difference in his acting skills. There's a four year difference in the films.
