dawn in the shower...?

after dawn anna's brain surgery there's a scene with her sitting in the shower in the hospital and she's crying. she's mumbling, "hot water" to the best of her ability for she has just began to re-talk a short while ago. when she cries out "hot water" does that mean that the water is cold and she's begging for warmth or is the water hot and she's begging for a little cold?

Its probably warm shes just so happy that she can say the words warm water again( describing what she is feeling). Although having been in a hospital a few times and knowing the inadequate warmth of the water, it probably could be interperted many ways.

I wondered that too. I just thought it was me who was confused because in the last year I've had two brain surgeries myself, LOL. # 3 is coming up. But I have the same two thoughts, either the water was too hot and she needed it turned down, or it was too cold and she needed it warmer. For most of us who have had brain surgeries though through the back, we tend to have difficulty regulating body temperature and are colder than those around us. So I lean towards her being cold in the shower and needing the water turned up.

I interpreted totally differently. I thought she was trying to call the nurse's attention to the scalding hot water she was unable to turn off. I thought that scene was so sad.

Tomorrow's just your future yesterday!
