Musical Reference to the Albert Finney Musical

In the song "Mr. Fezziwig's Annual Christmas Ball," there's a very clear reference to the song "Thank You Very Much." You can hear it on the soundtrack - it's from 4:14-4:17.

Nice, subtle way of saluting that film, I think.

Yes, well, they are musical numbers set at the same point in the story.

But in terms of musical melody, "Thank you Very Much" is directly quoted in "Mr. Fezziwig's Annual Christmas Ball."
