sharei had a tough time getting hold of it in french (but thats ok coz i know frenhc!!) !! never mind english! i dont know why they havent subtitled it in english too! but if anyone hears of this please let me know coz ive wanted to show this film to other people but its useless in french for them!!

I was able to acquire a DVD copy from my university media library. Since the only copy they had was subtitled in French (put out by ARTE France in 2005), I'm assuming that no English-subtitled version exists.
This, of course, sucks, because my Arabic is not that great and my French is even worse...so I missed out on about 70% of the dialogue. If anyone knows of an English/American release of this film, please let me know.
I can confirm there's an English-subtitled version - it was shown at the New York Film Festival a few years back (http://www.filmlinc.com/archive/nyff/nyfffilm2004.htm). It's just not out on DVD.
