Reason's to like it, Reason's to hate it.

Personally.. i like the idea of a space type jumanji, and the effects and the idea's they used were very well done but there are so many reasons to hate this movie..
but first.. i liked it because..

It has Josh Hutcherson in it.
It was an up to date jumanji.
It had nice effective graphics.
It was a nice idea.

Reason's i hated it..

The astronaut was annoying.
The fact that the Astronaut was actually Walter doesn't make sense because i thought they never actually played the game? It seemed more like a premonition.
Bits of the film didnt make sense.
The little brother was the most ANNOYING CHARACTER IN THE HOLE FILM.
..Honestly, whats the deal with him.. he was such a cry baby and the actor himself was annoying! If theyre was a bad actor award for this film that i got to vote for, i'd go for him.

I didn't think he was that annoying. What bothered me about it is that my younger sister looked exactly like him when she was little. XD Compared to her, he was pretty quiet.

Reasons to like it:
- The twist was good and heartwarming.
- The twist was foreshadowed enough that it didn't feel forced.
- Several genuinely funny moments.

Reasons to hate it:
- Lisa. Either flesh out her character or write her out of the script, but don't stick a fanservicey, bratty, teen stereotype in an otherwise decent movie just for an incest joke.
- The brothers' fighting was overdone at times.
- A minor annoyance: I would have appreciated a nod to how the heck air was staying in their house.

Lisa wasn't in the movie to create an incest joke, she was there because the children shouldn't be left on there own in the house. It avoided complaints

i wanted to punch the little brother in the face then throw him in a wood chipper...i hated his guts, and it's the reason these family movies are ruined for me

That older brother was - as his brother said at the beginning of the movie - a total dick - and as such, way more annoying than the little brother. That said, I loved both of them, especially the dynamic between them.
