The song is "I'm On The Corner Of Your Mind(I Love You)" by Leonid Soybelman, you can (legally!!!) download it from film's official pages, direct link to mp3:

I just saw this film at the LA Film Festival and it was the best of the festival (along with Old Joy and Wild Blue Yonder ... and i guess the reissue of Blue Velvet. ANYWAYS), The fact that the Czech language has a word that means Something Like Happiness was enough to grab me. That was at the Title. The subtle confident cinematagrpahy and the film's tough plot achieved a contradiction that in my mind is one of the hardest things to accomplish: Creating something that is pretty but ugly. Real yet fantastical (through photography...) Sorry to get stuck on reaction to the film. To say the least i fell in love with not only the song, but it's use and place in the film. I didn't think i'd be able to find it, i kind of gave up before even trying. Thank you for showing us this song.

Sorry to disappoint you but the title 'Stesti' mean just 'Happiness'

I know nothing at all about the Czech language, so if you do you must be right. But I've read several places online that stestí can mean either "happiness" or "luck," depending on the context, like the German word Glück (I also don't know German, so I can't verify that assertion either). If that's true, while it may not literally mean "something like happiness," stestí would still have a more complex and ambiguous meaning than the entirely unambiguous English word happiness, and Timetoeatpie's comment would be appropriate.

Tx for sending the link to the song. Is there a way to download the file to my hard drive? I just can hear the music on line.

Kind Regards!

The lyrics are terrible. I really hope that it was translated into English on the DVD, because otherwise I have no idea how the original writer could have thought that it was a good song.
