OMG, that is too funny how the first poster (iheartlost) mentioned their mom thought Mrs. Scott was played by a man! My husband thought the exact same thing! He said there was no way that could be a woman since there is absolutely nothing feminine about her. I told him after really looking at her (especially in last night's episode where the Ingalls' had to stay at her house) that she did somewhat resemble Dame Edna (without the glasses).
