I've heard that Wes Craven is remaking his original 70's classic "Last house on the left" and while researching on that board this film came up as a poor replica of the original. Curious, i came here to read about it. The subject title of this thread made me giggle so i had to read it. Glad i did, entertaining to say the least.

Hey, I proudly admit it. In fact the only thing I like more than watching gratuitous torture, especially torture of women, is torturing them myself. Man, I really miss having a sound proof basement.

But, you know what I enjoy more than torture? Using proper grammar and actually spelling out words on the internet, while not humping the caps lock. I also really, really like not using words like especial. But the one thing that brings me no end of joy is not using "than" when the proper word is "then" and vice versa.

To be honest i think people are hypocites when it comes to the kinda of post you just made.

People watch and enjoyed the film Titanic does this make them sick because they enjoyed watching the film even though its about 100's of people dieng in a very very horrible way, should the people making a film about such a tragedy be allowed to make money and a living from making films like this? if they didn't make it for the money why didn;t they give away all profits to charities?

Same for war films they are all set in real events where people really died yet people enjoy watching these films, does that make them sick for watching people get shot or blown up especial as the events shown in these films happened to real people.

What about horror films should people who watch these be allowed to enjoy watching people get killed, does it not count because the majority of horror films have supernatural killers that aren't real or part of real life, is this ok to still watch people being killed?

My point is that while rape scenes are not nice to watch and i dont really like seeing them, i dont think they are any worse then any of the examples above.

Is seeing a woman getting raped really any worse then lets say "Saving Private Ryan" which shows people being shot blown up and you even see someone walk along holding his arm thats been blown off all of those scenes are graphic.

"saving Private Ryan" again in another scene you see a soldier in a fight with a german who gets the upper hand and slowly plunges a knife into the soldiers chest, should this scene not be shown in the same way as a rape scene? this scene is just as real as the rape scene and just as (if not more) upseting then the rape scene this shows many peoples fates in wars.

Another filme "Starship Troopers" its a fantasy sci fi film but in this film you see nudity and very graphic and brutal deaths yet this is acceptable its seems that our society is very hypocritacal in films.

Its ok to watch people die murdered ripped to pieces in films but put a prson being raped in a film and all these people come out of no where saying its disgusting but again these people seem to find people being killed or murdered in war or sci-fi and fantasy/horror films fine.

For the record the film examples i used were films i really liked and i used them for that reason if i used films that i hated then people will just focus on the fact i am just naming those films because i didn't enjoy them.
