I saw it. It's great!!

I saw a special pre-screening on Manhattan's east side last night. Really suspenseful! There were so many unexpected twists and turns! I don't want to give any of the storyline and plot away, but I definitely recommend this. Some of the dialogue may be too adult for young children, though.

Does anyone know the budget this movie was filmed on?

That's so cool. I was wondering if you would know when The Deal would come out into theatres in Canada, because I have been waiting for such a long time. I can't wait to see it!!!!

I'm not exactly sure when the U.S. or Canada release dates are, but I suspect in less than 6 months. The film is complete, although the director may do a few touch-up jobs in the editing and soundtrack. A major factor involving the release date(s) would be, if a major big-name distributor adopts this project, and from there, it would be the distributor's ultamite desicion when the film would be distributed in the U.S., Canada, and worldwide.

Does that help answer your question?

reply

Yes, it does. Thanks a lot. If you happen to come across the release date one day, I really appreciate it if you can post it up for me. Thanks so much

No offense sexy superstud, but I was also at that screening in Manhattan on Apr 5th... I was one of the many people who could not contain their uproarious laughter. Are you sure we're talking about the same movie?

When Angie Harmon all of a sudden switches from her just fine American accent to a Russian accent just to reveal that she is indeed in cahoots with the mafia and the remains speaking in that acccent for the rest of the movie? If she can speak English without an accent why does she bother speaking with one?

And how about that exchange of "F u c k Y o u s" near the end between Slater and Loggia? With Slater whispering "F u ck Y ou" to Loggia and walking out of the room and Loggia turning towards THE CAMERA and ggrrrowwwlllinngg... "and.... FFFFFuccckkkk Youuuuuuu!!!!!!"

My adrenaline did pump because I nearly had a heart attack from laughing so god damn much.

One of Slater's last lines in the film is "I can safely say that this deal represents a shameful end to my career.." I was the guy that shouted "You got that right Chris!" at the screen.

I'm sure you're a cool guy superstud, so I hope your comments are meant as a tongue-in-cheek sarcastic joke on the film.

Erix0821, I'm sorry you didn't like the movie. Did we run into each other that night?

I'm telling you the honest truth, I really really liked the movie, and I WAS on the edge oof my seat the entire time.

Christian Slater definitely has major problems in his personal life, but I don't hold that against him in his work as an actor. There are Hollywood stars that definitely could have given a greater performance than he did, but I'll say in his favor, I thought he did a good job.

A great screenplay is a rare thing.

This movie is definately the worst movie I've ever seen...and I'm usually the one who loves any movie. It had no plot, the action was laughable, and the ending was just pathetic. I mean he doesn't stop the deal, and they're ok with that as long as the two of them made it out ok. I like Christian Slater a lot, but man, I wish he hadn't made this movie. I mean both he and Selma find out that the deal is shady extremely easily, without even consulting each other, they don't seem to care that it is connected to the deaths of two people who were involved, and the movie is more interested in the sex scene than anything else. Gah, I wish I hadn't wasted my time on this movie!

Too bad you didn't like the movie.

I didn't by any means think this was a great movie, or even a good one, but Slater did a good job in it. And the fuuuuck youuu you scene you laughed so hard at was actually pretty effective.

But what should I expect from an a s s h o l e who is rude enough to start shouting at the screen? No wonder I hate going to theaters anymore.
