Something for train-spotters...


Did anybody else notice the C44-9W (introduced in 1994!!!) pass in front of the camera left-to-right. You only see the lower half of it but its still obvious what it was... Surely there is a preserved 1950's locomotive somewhere they could have used instead... Strange for a 1950s movie

saw it, noticed same type goof in cinderella man (the loading crane in the dock was definately post 80's not 30's)

I saw that too, and thought, hunnh? Is this supposed to be 30s or 40s or what? But Santa Fe Warbonnet hood unit before 1980s? No way!
I wonder if the Santa Fe Warbonnet F-unit running head-on over the camera was an old stock shot, or a shot staged especially for the movie? Isn't there a "
cosmetically restored" Warbonnet F-unit somewhere, maybe California rail museum.
But in Louisiana? Fairly authentic for 1950s train travel, but in Louisiana?
