I go to the school where they filmed most of the movie. It was actually kinda funny, watching Californian film crews bundled up in coats and scarves while we were walking around in t-shirts. They kept bringing snow over from a nearby ski resort because most of the snow had already melted, and we were wondering why they hadn't come earlier, when there were feet upon feet of snow on the ground. "Might be because they're from California?..." Two of my friends donned period clothing and jumped into the procession of background people that pop up out of focus. I was very, very tempted to just walk onto their set in my firmly late-twentieth-century clothing on my way to a class or something.

I've actually not seen the movie yet, because I'd forgotten about it until now, but I might go out and rent it when I'm back at school after the winter break.
