shareteri maa ki aankh...you know sometimes when you are about to say a swear word, and your mother walks in, and you change the word in the last moment..like what the fuu..ish...like that...it's supposed to be teri maa ki choot..which means your mother's pussy...which is a swear word in hindi...so it become teri maa ki aankh..aankh is eyes..figure the rest out...

"Rang De Basanti" - literally means "Paint it Yellow".
shareshame shame Desi007! maybe u shud stick to akshay's khiladi flicks! RDB literally means "Paint it SAFFRON" and saffron in the indian flag signifies sacrifice ... which is what the movie is about!
shareI thought 'kesar' was saffron? Or is that the name for it as a spice, and the colour of saffron is called Basanti? My dad was telling me that the bit at the end, (when they're walking through the field of bright yellow crop), that the yellow of the blooms is the colour Basanti. Clarification, anyone?
shareThere was a plan to make the movie a bilingual and the English version to be called 'Paint it Yellow'.But the plan got shelved.Anyway the yellow blooms shown at the end of the movie are supposed to signify martyrdom and rebirth.Though I am still not sure if Basanti refers to orange[kesar or saffron colour] or yellow,I do know that Basaanti is the colour of sacrifice.I'm confused,actually!
