question...hope to start a nice discussion on this

with the ongoing problem in kashmir
showing no improvements or signs that it is slowing down
what we need is a government with balls
(like the five friends in Rang De Basanti)
who will stand up and do whats right
now dont get me wrong please dont flame me like oh ur saying that killing defence ministers is right blah blah
but the point is the movie characters were brave
and werent worried about the consequences
so
if israel went and airstriked liek twenty terrorist camps in lebanon about two days ago,
why cant we do hte same?
we hav to stop trying to please the international community by not fighting bak and we hav to stand up for our rights
can the youth of india be inspired to take the reins of a new government,
where people will actually be concerned about india and not their own asses?
and be courageous enough to look out for the interests of our own country and not go around agreeig to watever to please others?

It shall no longer be called 'India' if India resorts to such an attack.

Amen.. You don't understand what a good image being a non-aggressor makes.

Love Rabindranath Tagore's poetry! Did you know he's the great-grandfather of Soha Ali Khan Patuadi ("Sonia" in RDB)?

Fkk non-aggression, times have changed, true we havent attacked any country ever, but if the situation demands it,then it wud be wrong to not attack. And the situation is as desperate as it can get so i reckon its time to nail pakistan.

I think the beauty of this film is that it shows that violence is not the answer. Sure, Sue's group of friends conspired to kill the Defense Minister, but having thought about it some more, Karan, who spoke for the group on the radio, regretting their having done such a thing. This act gave the group the power of voice, yes, but at the same time it resulted in their deaths. Do you want an entire country to go at war with another and have the scenario in the film play out on a larger scale? I think not.

"Rang de Basanti," "The Color of Patriotism" does not stand for killing, but the willingness to stand up for what is right. Symbolized by the relationship between Asman and Laxman.

My hope is that Pakistani and Indian brothers and sisters may one day embrace each other for the peace and prosperity of their respective nations.

In the words of Mother Teresa: "If there is no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other."
