maybe you have to be Indian to get it...

I thought this was a really good movie and I really liked it but at the end he killed his father I just didn't understand how that was supposed to be a respectable thing. But I didn't even know who these revolutionaries are I mean I've never heard of the people they were making the documentary about... I assume they were realy people so I don't know if maybe you have to be Indian to understand the story line better

im not indian...i've never set foot in india, neither have my parents or my grandparent. but i do understand where the movie is coming from. He killed his father as a sacrifice to his country.

I guess I just didn't understand exactly how his father was at the wrong... at the first sequence his father was introduced in he was on the phone discussing buying parts from Russia or something, but said they weren't high quality... or I might be remembering wrong

I mean I really enjoyed the movie. lol actually Amir Khan's character I thought was just fantastic, I loved this neo-revolutionary thing they did... I just didn't understand hwo they could justify killing your own father... because I didn't see the direct correlation

Well his father was also a big part of the scam/racket to make money by using cheap quality parts instead of high quality parts. Those cheap quality parts used in the fighter planes are the ones that ultimately resulted in the pilot's death(and other pilots too before him).

He must have realized that it would not be fair to kill the minister guy and leave his father who was an equally big perpetrator so he killed his father too.

I too did find it a bit extreme too, I mean it was his Dad after all but I guess they had gone into that 'zone' of righteousness.

I am glad you liked the movie though, with all the crappy Bollywood throws out it's great when a good movie like this comes along!!

I believe there is a parallel in history, in the case of a nobleman from ancient Rome, who was a main protagonist in the deposition of the last tyrant and the establishment of the republic, and who, when he found out that his own son conspired to bring back the tyrant to power, killed him. It is extreme, but undoubtedly patriotic.
