complete listing of Z channel programming???

The list of movies mentioned in the documentary is great, and probably contains most of the important films; but I would like to find the complete listing of the programming that occured from its inception to demise.

Does anyone have any clues? Maybe the z channel program guides are archived in some library somewhere???

I guess finding the movies would be tougher than the listings ... but ... what the hey.

Maybe Quinton will post it for us.

Video stores would be smart to start having a "Z Channel section" - you know what I mean?

The dvd has a little bonus feature that browses through some of the monthly Z magazines. If you look close and have a zoom on your dvd you will be able to pick some of them up. I too would love to have a massive list of movies that ran on Z.

I was bored and I didnt feel like starting to write my speech for class so I went through the dvd and used the zoom function on my dvd player to pick out as many movies they list in the Z magazines. Some of these titles might be off cause some of the print was pretty small and I had to do a little guesswork.

Can you please tell me the name of the movie in the DOC that has the dedication to Sam Peckinpah at the end? It's the one where there is a man kneeling by a river a is a song playing and a women staring back at him like she is getting ready to cry.

Well, if you're near the LA area, what you would do is head to a library with microfiche and look up old tv listings. Or buy a tv guide collection from the time period.

Being a Z subscriber for six months, yes they had their share of artful, indie movies, but also "Predator", "It's Alive 3!", "Dragnet", and other pop movies played on there as well.

Where the list I posted came from was one night when I should have been studying for finals. I was bored and procastinating heavily; so I decided to put Z channel dvd and write down all the names I could make out from the dvd special feature that showed pictures of the Z program guide. I had to make extensive use of my dvd pause and zoom button. Anyhow thats where the list came from. If at least one person is interested it was worth my time.

You can add RACE WITH THE DEVIL which ran on Z Channel in February (or early March) of 1976. The first cable movie I ever saw in LA.
