just look at the complexity of the animation...

i am not an insider, but i do own Maya, 3DSM and a bevvy of other 3d softwares... to get the details and precise realism of the wild takes a LOOOOONG time... much more time than the choppy style of animation you see in dreamworks' madagascar. its obvious they put much more time into the wild than madagascar... its obvious why/how one could be started and finished after the wild was being rendered... Madagascar's story was weak, celebrity filled and the animation was very blocky and poorly rendered. (think tron) Dreamworks rushed through for one reason... not to tell a story but to beat disney to release... and it shows.

but not even counting that, look at Dreamworks history of ripping off concepts.

This movie looks (margainally) better, but The Wild is only barely better than Madagascar; both are a travesty and a wasted effort in my opinion. Doesn't matter who made which first. They both fail.

I agree that the animation is far superior to any Dreamworks film that I have ever seen. The audience can see why this film took much longer to produce than Madagascar and should appreciate the art that was created.
