MADAGASCAR RIPOFF!!!!

Animals who escape from a zoo in New York???

reply

This is a HUGE Madagascar ripoff, watching The Wild for the first time now and the koala says, "Terribly sorry to bother you, but, um, do you speak koala? Sprechen Sie koala?" to a wildebeast and in Madagascar the penguin says to Marty, "Sprechen Sie Englisch?" So apart from the obvious animals escape from a zoo (not to mention exactly the same zoo, New York) but they even used pretty much exactly the same line!!! So for this one, Disney really wasn't the top one. Go DreamWorks.

NOT MADAGASCAR RIPOFF!!!!

DOWN WITH MADAGASCAR!

The Wild began production before Madagascar, but Madagascar stole The Wild's ideas and realeased it earlier, so that when The Wild was realeased, everybody blew it off and now people are badmouthing The Wild, saying that THE WILD stole the idea from Madagascar, and making it look bad.

The Wild is animated better, and it has a better storyline anyway.

DOWN WITH MADAGASCAR!

Go Disney!

I don't think "The Wild" is a great movie, but I liked it better than Madagascar, which I really just found annoying. I couldn't even finish it. I won't be bothering with the sequel, either.

Nothing is "overrated". The number of people who like something and by how much defines "rating".

reply

I MUCH liked The Wild, way more.

reply

I liked Madagascar better, I don't like The Wild's music and the whiny kid syndrome

The Wild is way better than Madagascar, Madagascar is complete garbage.. both 1 & 2. My 2 year old even agrees with me.

Madagascar, released 2005
The Wild, released 2006

How does that reflect on your claim ?

Those who say that The Wild is a Madagascar ripoff are absolutely correct.
Disney thought they could ride on the Dreamworks wave of animation success they had with Madagascar and then Disney presented this garbage of an animation movie, who is not even up to Disney's normally good animation standards.

reply

Animated features like this are in production way longer than a year, so it can't have been made as a response to Madagascar's success.

reply

the storyline for The Wild actually began being written in 1991. They put it on the back burner thus resulting in it being released in 2006, which was when it was finally completed.
