Ty Hodges-this is for you :)

Ty, we had a conversation this past night about this very movie. I broke my usual rule of never commenting on a movie until I have seen it more than one time. That way, my opinion is solidified. I also discover what I think through discussions a lot of the time. So when I talked to you tonight, I fear that I came across as negative without some positive. I thought it was nice for what it was-a fun comedy. Some loose ends weren't tied up at the end and I wasn't quite sure about the lady in the plane (it seemed like it should/could have been a really cool metaphor for the movie, but I just couldn't seem to get it to stretch to that; however,it made me laugh and I was willing to "suspend my disbelief" for this movie. Thanks for taking a risk on a Mormon film!

The actor isn't Mormon? I hate it when they do that. . .

a lot of the actors weren't mormon. Ty Hodgens is Larry from Even Stevens, Orlando Brown is Eddie from That's So Raven, the other waitress (I think her name was Danielle)was Christine Lakin who was Al on Step by Step, and Elder Talbot (Shaun Weiss) was from Mighty Ducks. they had a lot of non mormons. I liked it. now the mormons don't seem so weird. it shows that we're just like everyone else.

Also there was Lise Simms the lady reporter on TV in the diner, she's from Phil of the Future. Yeah I saw a lot of faces I recognized from other movies, I laughed when I saw Shaun Weiss who played in the Mighty Ducks. He was my favorite as Goldberg, I loved him in those movies, so it was nice seeing his face apear on the tellie after such a long time.

Anyway, it was a great movie and Ty Hodges did a great job. And it does make it seem like were all in the same boat, some people just believe different things. It love it when they do that, they get to see how the "Mormons" are, and it's pretty neat.
