I miss the summer of '05...

...So many good memories at the theater. My love for movies was starting to go the max again and I was at the theater two or three times a week to catch the latest summer release be it Batman Begins, Star Wars Episode III, The Island, Land of the Dead, The Brothers Grimm, The Skeleton Key, The 0 Year-Old Virgin, Red Eye, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, this...Not calling these great films, but at the time they came out I really enjoyed and them and had some memorable theater going experiences.

Good movie summer IMHO.

Spider-Man 3. The Dark Knight Rises. Really, what's the difference?

I miss the summers of the mid-90s. Lots and lots of movies back then too, most weren't remotely good either, but that's not the point. :)

That was the end of an era in a way, but I might perceive it that way because of the Star Wars prequels ending. I spent six years looking forward to 2005. It was also the last summer before social networking became so common with MySpace and everyone started using the internet on their phones.

I do agree that 05 had great movies. I will also say that after you posted this 06 & 07 did too

2006: Mission Impossible 3, Cars, F&F Tokyo Drift, Pirates of the Caribbean 2
2007: Pirates of the Caribbean 3, Transformers, Live Free or Die Hard, Ocean's 13, Bourne Ultimatum, War

Oh man 2000-2005 was such a great time to be seeing movies. You had the Potter movies going on, you had the LOTR movies, the Spiderman movies
