Two words: Otis Cartwright

that was my favorite character. Fichtner always does such a great job with his roles and he's usually playing a character thats really f^^king weird and hilarious-- Otis was no exception! hilarious!

I love Fichtner. It was a treat to see him here with his Perfect Storm shipmate John Hawkes!

If you like him in this, you should see him in "Drowning Mona". He is great in that movie too!

reply

Goodl Lord! I totally concur. Otis literally doesn't have an unfunny line in this movie.

Also, this movie seems vastly under-rated on imdb right now. Rating should be in the 7s--I dare anyone to watch it and disagree.

William was fantastic in this movie. Otis is one of his greatest roles ever. He's a fabulous character, such a scruffy womanizer. His lines are the best, so fu**ing hilarious. He's the hottest and the smartest guy of the bunch. Irresistible.

"I love women so much, I don't understand why they're not all lesbians" or something to that effect, I LMFAO.
Love Fichtner xD

He was in Austin to introduce the film at the Austin Film Festival. He said they all had a great time making it and really had high hopes for it. Very cool guy.

I loved his character and so many of the others, but Jeff Bridges is THE MAN. Is he ever in a bad film? Granted, some are more successful in the box office than others, this being an obvious example of a B.O. failure. But when a new JB movie comes out, I know I can just go see it without even knowing what it's about. He's always great, the movie is often great and at the very least it won't be boring.

William Fichtner was indeed a riot as horndog Otis.

What do you think this is, a signature? It's a way of life!

V - "Do you mind?" (while a stripper is rubbing Otis' (William Fichtner's crotch)

Otis - "Do I mind if you rub my dick? No. Saves me the trouble. I'm trying to think of the last time I was asked a question that stupid."
