Or you know good film-making when you see it and are not drawn in by hackneyed emotional manipulation. This movie was as ham-fisted as it gets. 😂

They are both fantastic Eastwood films!
Well deserved to be in the top 250!

I don't hate the film but I don't love it. It is skillfully made but it is wholly depressing and poorly paced.

Great directing, great acting, great story, fully engaging, never a dull moment.

I don't get how anyone can call this movie overrated. Typical contrarians unable to see quality even if it smacked them in the nose.

The problem (for me, anyway) was that the whole film smacked you in the nose, if you will. Not an ounce of subtlety to it. And yes, I hated it for that reason; I don't care to be insulted and assaulted by lowest-common-denominator crapola.

I thought it was a good film, but I have had no desire for replays because it is so depressing.
