I heard a song from the movie in the video store which caught my attention-I would almost bet that she was lip-synching an old Sandy Denny (RIP) song.

I also loved the songs that she plays, along with the other Irish instrumental jigs. Haven't been able to find anything on the Internet, I would greatly appreciate any info concerning where and how to buy the soundtrack. Thanks in advance.

The credits of the movie say the song is done by an Anna Ford. You could try that in your search. Let me know if u find it.

Hi
You were looking for the Irish Jam music right? Well I played allot of the traditional music pieces in the movie and also sang two of the lip sanked songs.

The funny thing is that I only watched the movie through tonight and came online to send a copy o some friends in San Francisco.

If you know the name of the particular song I could send it to you in an MP3 file.

Kind Regards

could you tell the title and author of the first song?

There was a song by a female artist - I thought I recognised her voice but couldn't remember - but it wasn't one of the 2 by the lovely Anna! I'd really like to know who the artist is & maybe get a copy of the song..!

reply

I do not want a particular song but rather as much of the soundtrack as I can get. I especially want the traditional Irish music.
Thanks for whatever you can send me.

Do you have the 2 songs that Anna sang in the movies? If so, please send me a message! Would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks!

Have you had any luck locating the song title and/or artist?
I am also interested and have not found any information

reply

Just recently watched the movie and trying to find soundtrack or songs in movie. Any luck locating any of the music?

reply

The songs are "my love will carry you" and "sweet morning dew". They are both sung by Anna FRIEL!!! not ford. It says it in the credits if you look close enough. I would love both Anna's songs or any of the music for that matter but nowhere on the internet seems to have it except bad copies on youtube. If anyone uploads the clips on youtube without the background noise then you can rip it from the clip.

Any help or leads would be greatly appreciated.

The songs sung by Anna Friel in the movie were written by her dad (Desi Friel) who wrote the words and I wrote the music. Anna was not happy with the songs which had been given to her so Desi and I drove down to Cornwall where the film was made. We stayed in a lovely seaside house with Anna and from empty pages and a blank screen we had three songs finished in 2 days. Later we went to Dublin to re-record the songs with top Irish traditional band Lunasa. There was a third song, "If You're Not There", which was edited out of the movie, but will appear on Desi Friel's second solo album, due in 2011. Some other incidental music was written by Lone Madsen(sp?).
